Aspen Mortuaries - Lakewood
Arlene Joan Egolf
September 13th, 1943 - September 2nd, 2020
Arlene Joan Egolf September 13th 1943 - September 2nd 2020 Arlene Egolf was born in Aurora, Kansas to her loving parents Theodore and Marceline Hamel. She had two ornery brothers, Marv and Mick. And a spirited older sister, Marilyn. She was raised as an outdoor-loving country girl who eventually moved to the big city of St. Louis Missouri. Where she worked hard as a hair dresser and a full time mom to her Dear Daughter Pamela. Life eventually led the two of them to Denver, Colorado where she worked in administrations at Lowry Air Force Base. There she met her late husband and absolute love of her life, John Egolf. Together they raised her daughter Pam and they wed on the 24th of December in 1987. Arlene was a devoted family woman. Her siblings adored the way she interacted with their children and fondly remember how Arlene went out of her way to teach her Nieces and Nephews inappropriate words to say, unsurprising for the Hamel clan, because picking on one another is a signature trait! Arlene did all things in good spirit and made sure everyone was having a good time. After retirement Arlene filled her time with raising her four Grandchildren: Chelsea, Chloe, Claudia and Cole. Along with her two Great-Grand Sons: Grayson and Rowan. She loved the Colorado summers and spent precious time outside with her chickens and flowers. She will be remembered by her witty banter, selfless heart and infectious laugh.
