Jennifer "Ann" Golladay Anderson
October 25th, 1944 - January 11th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Jennifer “Ann” Golladay Anderson, 80, of Walkertown, North Carolina, passed away on January 11, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Mark and Ethel Golladay, the devoted wife of Richard Anderson for 45 wonderful years, and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, Ann pursued a career in nursing, graduating from Indianapolis Methodist Hospital School of Nursing with her RN degree. After marrying Richard, a dedicated United States Marine, Ann embraced a life of travel and new experiences. They made a home together in several locations including Camp Pendleton, California, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Oahu, Hawaii and Grand Prairie, Texas. They settled in Walkertown, North Carolina, where they built a new home to be close to family.
Ann was a kind woman who loved her family. She was a loving mother to her daughter Vickii, whose life she touched deeply with her guidance and unconditional love. Her grandchildren were her heart, and she enjoyed all the opportunities that she had to spend with them. She and Richard enjoyed trips in their Miata and loved to visit wineries. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, baking, and playing cards. She made it her purpose to crochet, receiving blankets for her great grandchildren when they were born.
Ann’s smile, laugh, kindness, and profound love of family left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of the home; her daughter, Vickii Mize (Joel) of Lexington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Nichole Mize (Brandon) of Thomasville, North Carolina; Caitlin O’Neal (Jack) of Lexington, North Carolina and Ethan Mize of Lexington, North Carolina; four great grandchildren, Maxwell, Eliza, Ava and Andie, two stepchildren, Richard Anderson of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Kay Carzoli of Walnut Creek, California, and many other extended family and friends.
A service to honor Ann’s life will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, with a time of visitation to follow until 3:00 PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel.
