Dolores "Dee" Jean Hanson Dailey

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dolores (Dee) Hanson Dailey. Dee left us peacefully on January 7, 2025 at the age of 92.

Dee was born on August 11, 1932 in Poulsbo, Washington to Einer and Myrtle Tolonen. She was later adopted by Jorgen and Ilma Almos. She married Douglas E. Hanson in 1950 and they had four children. They lived in Edmonds, Washington while raising their children.

She worked at Frederick & Nelson tailoring clothing for display, JC Penney, Seafirst Bank and lastly, at the Seattle Times where she retired.

In 1976 she married the love of her life Bob G. Dailey. They ran an insurance agency then spent their retirement years traveling together. They wintered in Hemet, California.

Dee was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and mother-in-law. She will be missed by her four children: Mark Hanson (Pam), Chris Hanson (Danna), Douglas Hanson (Monica) and Holly Hanson; and her grandchildren: Brett Hanson, Aria Compito (Andre), Brenna Hanson and Michael Morrow.

A celebration of Dee’s life will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Beck’s Tribute Center in Edmonds, Washington. She will be laid to rest at Edmonds Memorial Cemetery at 1 p.m.
