Timothy "Tim" Joseph Rempe
September 18th, 1954 - January 3rd, 2025
Psalm 23 reads: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Tim Rempe
September 18, 1954 – January 3, 2025
Tim Rempe passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona. Born on September 18, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, Tim was the eldest son of Joseph and Bernita Rempe. His father’s career as an environmental professional engineer took the family across three states and seven cities before they settled on “the farm” in Elburn, Illinois, in 1968.
Tim was the first of three boys, growing up alongside his brothers, Mike (68) and John (66). He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1972 and married Lisa Hoyne in 1976. The couple initially lived in St. Charles, Illinois, before moving to Tucson, Arizona, where they welcomed their two sons, Tyler (1984) and Bradley (1986).
Tim spent much of his career in the culinary industry, managing and working as a chef for various establishments. His talent in the kitchen was legendary—his cinnamon rolls were widely regarded as some of the best anywhere. He was also part of a Peter Piper Pizza franchise in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
Outside of work, Tim was an avid motorsports enthusiast. As a racing photographer, he gained access to events at Phoenix International Raceway, with many of his photos published in prominent racing magazines.
In 2008, Tim relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where he met Cherri Sheely, who became his best friend and companion through the rest of his life.
Tim worked as the Head Chef at Hawthorne Court and later at the Brookdale Retirement Community. He was deeply respected by his colleagues and beloved by the residents for his warmth, compassion, and ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Tim was a charismatic and kind-hearted person with a unique knack for fixing electronics and an unwavering gift for making others feel valued. To know Tim was to love him.
He is survived by his sons, Tyler and Brad, and his brothers, Mike John.
