Mary Elizabeth (Burden) McQueen
July 18th, 1953 - January 14th, 2025
Mary Elizabeth (Burden) McQueen, 71, widow of John Corbin McQueen, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born in Tell City, Indiana on July 18, 1953 to the late Ivan and Louise Ball Burden. Mary worked at the History Museum.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Edwards (Keith Wingate); her son, Robert Allen Barker (Melissa); her sisters, Joyce Ann (John) Labrainy, and Margaret Chesser; her brother, Ernie Burden; her grandchildren, Louise Gill, Nicki White, Josh White, Michael White (Frankie Sharp), Jacob Chesslee, and Evan Barker; her great grandchildren, JR. Bowen, Laveion Bowen, Stefiney Gill, George Gill, Lacee White, Lincoln White, Bristal Sharp, Beckly Sharp, Ivan White, and Gavin White; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Anuna Bowen; her sisters, Mary Jewell and Lida Hardin; and her brothers, Buck Burden, Billy Burden, and David “Day” Burden.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
