James “Jim” Bly Martin was called home on Wednesday December 25, 2024 to be with his Lord and Savior, and to join his father Kenneth Bly Martin. Jim is survived by his mother, Joyce Strahler, two brothers Kenneth “Dusty” C Martin and Scott Bly Leiter, two nephews, Jason Martin and David Laughlin, two nieces, Lindsey Wahlmeir and Bethany Pate. He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Bly Martin.

Born in Naperville, IL on February 12, 1965. Jim was always the best son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. Jim was very close to his family and he loved them dearly. He loved Colorado and was an avid Broncos fan. His smile, love, kindness, sense of humor will be missed greatly.

Jim struggled with physical limitations for almost 60 years but not once did he complain. He was a man with a quiet gentle soul with the biggest of hearts and always had a smile on his face. He was always there for those who needed a helping hand and he never had a bad thing to say about anyone. The word of his passing brought heart tugging comments from many of his friends and neighbors who he knew and loved him.

Jim will always be remembered for his knowledge of computer hardware, software, and cameras. He took classes in Information Technology and Photography at Front Range Community College Longmont campus.

Jim was well versed when it came to the scriptures and knowledge of his Faith. He studied the Word at a number of churches including at City on the Hill Church 7483 Arapahoe Rd in Boulder Colorado where he will be remembered in a Memorial Service on January 18th 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm.
