Anna Lee Prescott (formerly Long) passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, January 5th at the age of 88.  She was in born in Iowa on December 19, 1936 and relocated with her family to the Forest Grove area where she spent her childhood in the "house on the hill".  She later moved to Canby from where she graduated high school.

In November of 1957, she married Richard Prescott, originally from Connecticut.  After he retired from the Navy, they moved to Canby to raiser their three sons; Steven, Jeffrey, and Mark.  She was a devoted wife and mother.

Anna was very fond of the outdoors and sightseeing.  She often said that visiting Glacier National Park was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences of her life.  During the summers, Anna and her family could be found out on the river, prompting her to take up water-skiing at the age of 30, which she continued to enjoy for over 20 years.  Her love for the outdoors was also reflected in gardens, in which she (rightfully) took pride.

Anna is survived by her sons Steven and Jeffrey, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins (some blood-related, others chosen).

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at 3:30pm at Zion Memorial Cemetery in Canby.  Arrangements entrusted to Canby Funeral Chapel.
