In Loving Memory

Miguel R. Ramos, of Salinas, passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 23, 1950, in Ameca, Jalisco.  Miguel was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo and Ofelia Ramos, sisters, Laura Curiel and Hilda Lopez, and his grandson, Angel Ramos.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Alma Ramos; his children, Miguel A. Ramos (Dhanyal), Juan C. Ramos (Carisma), Marco A. Ramos (Lauren), and Jose M. Ramos (Elisha), numerous grandchildren and his brothers, Enrique Ramos and Alfredo Ramos.

Miguel retired from the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, Ca after 30 years of dedicated service.  Miguel was a proud supporter of his children’s athletic pursuits, attending nearly every sporting contest, home or away, big or small, for over a decade.  He was proud of his children and grandchildren and supported them whenever possible.  Miguel enjoyed fishing, watching sports (mostly 49er Football), mariachi, and spending time in his garden, growing all sorts of fruits and plants.  Miguel was a very respectable and honorable man; his kindness and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  May the memory of Miguel Ramos be an example of a great man and bring comfort to those who loved him.

To honor the life of Miguel Ramos, visitations, eulogies, and a rosary will be held at Healey Mortuary and Crematory, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, Ca 93905, on Wednesday, January 22nd from 1:00-5:00 pm with a rosary at 3:00 pm.  The Mass service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone Street, Salinas, Ca 93901 at 9:30am followed by burial at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, Ca 93901.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
