Brian K. Smith, age 69, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024.  He was born September 8, 1955, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, to late Eben and Elizabeth Smith (nee Rumford).

 

Brian was devoted to his country, selflessly served 21 years of active-duty service in the United States Air Force including tours of duty in Germany and Korea.  Brian was a devoted husband and father.  He will be deeply missed by his beloved son, Ethan and brothers, Jud and Ron (Karen), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol, brother Wayne, sister Sherry and his parents. 

 

A farewell to honor Brian will be held on Friday, January 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the committal shelter; immediately followed by the internment of Brian (with Carol’s) ashes at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182.

 

Brian’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Brian’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project: https://woundedwarriorproject.org.
