Dana Patrick Tucker
September 19th, 1957 - December 24th, 2024
Dana Tucker passed away on Christmas Eve surrounded by his family. He was a fun-loving and generous man with a can-do attitude.
Dana was born and raised in Concord, CA, and he lived there all his life. He graduated from Concord High and immediately started a career in roofing supply, eventually becoming the Manager and Dispatcher for Ford Wholesale in Oakland for 24 years. He took pride in his work and liked to compete with other managers for the bragging rights of being the highest-performing yard. He had many interests and hobbies over the years including photography, rock & roll, muscle cars, fishing, skiing, scuba diving, boating, shooting, and riding motorcycles. He also loved to visit Santa Cruz, and he had a passion for Motown and spent much of his time growing his collection of records, photos, books, and other memorabilia. In recent years, he joined St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church where he was baptized and regularly attended services and other activities. The community there became an important part of his life and gave him a sense of belonging and joy.
Dana goes to join his late beloved wife, Michele, his mother, Joy Davis, and his father, Bill Tucker Jr. He is survived by his loving children David, Nicole, Roberta, and Denise; step-mother Dee Merritt; and siblings Tim Tucker, Evie Mastorakis, and George Mastorakis. He was both a grandfather and a great-grandfather. Dana was well-loved by many and will be deeply missed.
He will be inurned in the Remembrance Garden at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette, CA, next to Michele. Anyone wishing to support a cause in his name would please direct donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
