George William Steinfeld
November 12th, 1943 - January 16th, 2025
George W. Steinfeld, a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, a fierce friend, and a wonderful man. George left this world on Thursday January 16th, 2025 the age of 81 surrounded by his family.
George W. Steinfeld was born on November 12th, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York. George wore many hats throughout his life including serving in Korea and loved his country. During this time, George married the late Barbara Steinfeld, celebrating 53 years of marriage. Together they have 2 children: Frances (Akhtar) and Jennifer (David); of which George has 4 grandchildren: Ashleigh, Kayla, Keira, and Abraham. George has a brother Roy (Moe) Lepore whom he loved dearly. George then found love again at the age of 80 and married Deborah Champion. He is preceded in death by his mother Frances, sister Annie, and his wife Barbara.
George loved to spend time with his family and watch his grandchildren grow up. He was passionate about fishing, collecting (and hoarding) many things, listening to music especially Cool Water by Marty Robbins, making his famous cheesecake, and watching boxing.
George touched so many people throughout his life and fought many hard battles but was never a quitter. He is at peace now. George will be honored at Woodmen Valley Stone Chapel on January 30th at 10:00 AM which will include military honors. His final resting place will be at Pikes Peak Cemetery following the service. The funeral service will be live streamed for those who cannot attend at: woodmenvalley.org/memorialstream
