The family of Clifford Gantz is saddened by his recent passing. Cliff died peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Centennial, CO.

Cliff was born in Manhattan, New York. He lived in Long Island as a youth and his hilarious experiences and funny stories all began there.

Cliff joined the Air Force and became an airplane mechanic. When he completed his dedicated service, he returned to Queens, New York where he worked with his mother in their dress factory. He was also a bouncer at a popular bar in Long Island where he made friends with local and famous celebrities. It was easy for Cliff to make a friend with his charismatic smile and fun-loving personality. Those who knew him well can share a “Cliffie” story and would no doubt agree, we will all miss his humor and quick wit.

Cliff eventually made his way west, living in New Mexico and Colorado. He finished his career as a customer service manager, still charming clients and colleagues alike.

When Cliff moved to Colorado he met the love of his life. He and Helen were happily married for 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and their many friends. He was also an avid golfer and loved the outdoors.

He was also a loving father (bonus dad) to Deanna and grandpa to Dominic. He and Domnic had a special bond from the start. They shared a love for gaming and they had many spirited conversations about history and everything else from A to Z. He was a loving brother and best friend to his brother, Phil.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Stoffel and Frank Gantz. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; step-children Deanna Rivas (Phil); and Alex Rivas (Marsha); grandson Dominic Rivas; brother Phil Gantz (Pauline); and nephew Blake Gantz.

Cliff’s service with full military honors will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., staging area B at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO, 80236.

Reception to follow at 1:30 at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel, 9808 Sunningdale Blvd., Lone Tree, CO 80124.
