On January 14, 2025 Darcy A Wendland of Thornton, Colorado passed away unexpectedly at age 55.
She was born in Denver, Colorado on October 1, 1969, to Jerry and Sheila (Monie) Wendland.
After graduating from Manual High School in Denver she then attended the University of Colorado, Boulder. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.
She worked nearly 20 years at Johns Manville as an Information Technology Specialist.
She found immense joy with her daughter, Bethany, family, friends and her church family. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pool and bingo. She had a true love for cats, dogs and other 4-legged animals.
Darcy was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
She leaves to mourn her: daughter Bethany, Mother Sheila, extended family and friends and feline companions Freddie, Cami, and Maggie.
Memorials in her memory are suggested to the Wildlife Sanctuary, Denver Zoo, or St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
