Mom's in Heaven
Evelyn Arcuri Bartlett, age 94, entered into the presence of the Lord January 22, 2025. She was born in Tampa, Florida on October 15, 1930. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Barry Pittman Bartlett Sr, Father Joseph Nicholas Arcuri, Mother Edith Easterling Arcuri, Sister Giovan "Sugie" Arcuri Kovach. She is survived by Sister Shirley Arcuri Moore (Rex), Mary Lou Arcuri Alcala (Gus), Daughter BarbaraAnn Bartlett Wells Ranieri (Patrick), Son Barry Pittman Bartlett Jr. (LeeAnn), Grandsons Billy Moore (Jackie) Joel Lee Wells, Kyle Lee Wells (Kathy), Barry Pittman Bartlett III (Amanda), Great Grandchildren Sean Moore (Jackie), Travis Moore, Aiden Wells, Peyton Grady, Penelope Wells, Nicolas Wells, Presley Bartlett, Great Great Grandchild Paisley Moore.
Mom and Dad were neighbors and high school sweethearts. She attended Highland Avenue Methodist Church in Tampa, which they were married in and attended with us. In 1972, our family began attending Suncoast Cathedral (formerly First Assembly of God) in St. Petersburg, Florida. They made close friendships with many new brothers and sisters in the Lord, which they enjoyed fellowshipping with, both in the church and personally. Mom sang in the choir, helped paint rooms in Suncoast's St. Petersburg Christian School, and participated in many other events through the church.
Mom was a stay at home mother, in our early years of childhood. Her first job was with Hickory Farms in WestShore Plaza, Tampa, then in sales at Dillards (formerly Iveys) in Pinellas Square Mall, Pinellas Park. After she and Dad retired, they traveled more with friends and went out west to see her sister Shirley. Mom loved to garden, enjoyed being with her grandchildren and being involved in church activities. She had the lady who played piano at the church teach her. Mom was a faithful believer in Christ and prayed constantly for family and others. She taught us the love Christ has for us and we saw the close relationship she had with the Lord.
The past few years had been difficult for Mom after Dad's passing. She had been telling us that she was ready to go, but she said God apparently has a plan for me to stay. Mom passed away peacefully at home in her sleep. It is bittersweet because we loved her much, and are missing her, but we also celebrate because we feel assured that Mom's in Heaven!
You'll always be in our hearts Mom,
BarbaraAnn & Barry Jr
and Family
