IN LOVING MEMORY OF DANIEL “DAN” SANSO…..

It is with deep regret and sorrow, we announce the passing of our Son, Daniel Sanso, 32, who left us on January 20, 2025. Daniel was born on September 13th,1992 in Englewood, Colorado at Swedish Hospital.    Daniel grew up in Lakewood and Morrison, where he attended Bear Creek High School. Daniel was a great athlete and student. In High School, he played football, wrestled, and was an All State swimmer.  In his freshman class, he was the only student to win the distinction of having earned three Varsity Letters for Football, Wrestling and Swimming while maintaining a 4.0 average.

Daniel began his college studies at RRCC where he enjoyed working towards the completion of his prerequisites for a future career in engineering.  He had hoped to matriculate to The School of Mines, but that dream was sadly never realized.

Independently, Daniel earned his professional certification in CAD development.  He immensely enjoyed creating 3D renderings of physical toys. We are sending him home with the Football he created using this CAD program.

As Daniel matured his career focus changed to the Food and Beverage Industry.  He worked as a Buyer and Display manager for Davidsons. His favorite job, however, was working as a Marketing Distributor at E-Corp. He was known for his unwavering dedication and hard work, and he was loved by his coworkers and customers. Dan was surrounded and loved by many people and acquired many acquaintances through his work.

Daniel had an eclectic group of friends.  He spent many years surrounded by the love of his “Tribe Family”, with whom he enjoyed over a decade of listening and attending many concerts of his favorite Band, STS9, at both Red Rocks Amphitheater as well as the Fillmore and other venues. In addition, he most cherished his time with his best buddies LK and Chaz Richardson, who along with their father, Buddy, were Daniel’s most steadfast visitors during the arduous time Daniel spent post-accident in the hospital.

Daniel was the most loving son. He used to show up at his parents’ homes making pizza from scratch. His dream was to open Dan’s Pizza. Daniel had an amazing trip to NY with his father to learn from the best Pizza Connoisseurs.   When Daniel got into a bad car accident and became a paraplegic, he still was talking enthusiastically about opening Para Pizza one day.

Daniel was survived by his father David Sanso, his mother Patricia Carretta, his brother David Jr, his stepmother Natalie Sanso, and his brothers Joseph, and Sasha. He was also a beloved nephew to his Aunty Lisa. Daniel will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Daniela, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A service to celebrate Daniel Sanso’s life will be held on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Aspen Mortuary, 1350 Simms St, Lakewood, CO 80401. All are welcome to attend, pay their respects, and share memories.
