Albert Joseph Imhoff Jr.

                                                      8/9/1937-1/10/2025

Born to Inga and Albert Imhoff in Miami, FL. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Yvonne Jahn.

Al attended Chico Middle School, Chico High School, and Chico State University, earning an AA degree.  

He joined the Navy in 1956, and served 4 years. He then worked for Peter Kiewit as a cement foreman at the Chico Missile Base. 

In 1960, Al joined the Butte County Sheriff’s Office and served 60 years, working for 8 Sheriff’s. 

In 1967, he joined the Air Force Reserves and retired as Chief Master Sergeant. 

Al loved hunting, fishing, camping and cruising. He taught Hunter Education for 45 years. Al was a member of the Butte County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, a member of the Chico Elks Lodge 423, where he worked as a membership investigator. 

Al is survived by his loving wife, Janet of 49 years, three sons Lee(Tammy), Duane-Flip (Lori), and Mark, six grandchildren Sarah, Jessie, Colten, Rylee, Hayden, Cayden and one great grandson James, his sister Jeannine Lillegard, brother Gary (Karen) and one niece Nicole. Graveside service at Glen Oaks will be February 8, 2025 at 1:00pm. Arrangements under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home.
