Romero Funeral Home and Cremations - Lakewood
Ronney Roybal
August 23rd, 1957 - January 18th, 2025
Ronney "Ron" Roybal, the joy of our lives, took his place in Heaven with Jesus on January 18, 2025 at age 67. Ronney was born to Daniel and Ophelia Roybal on August 23, 1957 in Denver. He retired as a driver from the Sloans Lake King Soopers in October 2016 after over 25 years of service, prior to that he worked for several years as a delivery driver for Wholesale Associated Florists.
Ronney met his wife Diane in 1978 while both living in the same neighborhood and married several years later. They blended their family to include his son Ronnie Jacob (Sysco) and Diane's sons' Jeremy and Brian and were blessed with one son, Isaac Daniel in 1981. Because he was never blessed with a daughter he considered his nieces Crystal Roybal and Janie Alberty as filling that spot in his life and in his heart. He was an extremely hard worker at his job and spent the rest of his time taking care of his very large yard at their home in Denver and, of course, enjoyed sports to include Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets. He knew how important laughter was so he spent every evening watching endless re-runs of "Everybody Loves Raymond". For the most part he was a quiet, serious person but would crack a random joke out of the blue, everyone enjoyed being around him. Of most importance he was a dedicated Father and Husband and throughout the years, he held an unwavering faith in God and Jesus, which was a very important part of his life. As we say goodbye we cherish every memory, picture and reminder of you, Stay Gold our sweet, handsome and kind Ron, until we see you in heaven!
Ronney is survived by his wife, Diane (Casias) Roybal, originally from the San Luis Valley in Colorado, his sons Ronnie Jacob (Sysco) Hernadez, Isaac (Ike) Daniel Roybal, Jeremy Vigil and Brian Vigil, grandsons Dominic and Ronnie Hernandez, Jr., granddaughters Tianna, Faith and Gabby Vigil, and great grandchildren Rose, Avery, Alyssa and twins Andres and Theodore (Teddy). He is also survived by his older brother Manuel Roybal of Nebraska, sisters Lena Bujanda of Parker and Frances Garcia of Las Vegas, NM and his beautiful God-daughter Crystal Roybal and special nephews Ricky Sandoval and Matt Roybal, niece Janie Alberty and nephew Jason Valdez. It was a terribly sad and yet happy time when six years ago his twin brother Rick Roybal also took his place in heaven as well as his brothers Danny and Albert several years ago. Last December his sister H
elen was also taken home to heaven. Ronney is also survived by many nephews and nieces who live in Albuquerque, NM and also in Las Vegas, NM.
