Wilma will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
On January 23, 2025, Wilma Bobka, 96, passed away at home in Thornton, Colorado. She is preceded in death by Richard, her loving husband of 67 years. She is survived by 4 of her 6 children Sharon, Gary, Jeff (Janeen), and Brian (Susan).
She is preceded in death by her sons Rick (surviving spouse, Elvira) and Kevin (surviving spouse, Diana).
She loved her 8 grandchildren; Jared, Justin (Rachel), Matthew, David (Rachel), Jason (Jessica), Alana (Emalia), Katie, and Kristyn plus 6 great grandchildren.
Wilma was born in St. Joseph, Missouri and is survived by her only brother Ronald (Marlene). She was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy, Darlene (Mel), Beverly (John), and Donna (Gordon).
Wilma and Richard settled in Denver soon after marriage, where they lovingly raised their 6 children.
Wilma was an exceptional mother and homemaker. She was an Avon representative for 25 years and was honored to earn a place in the President’s club. She was a long-time member and active volunteer at Northglenn Christian Church.
Wilma shared her love of the outdoors, her commitment to family and God with everyone she knew. Her water aerobics classes and friends she made there were a source of joy. Wilma especially enjoyed her houseboat trips to Lake Powell, RV travel, Labor Day Weekend camping at Taylor Park and her trips to Hawaii.
Everyone who met Wilma fell in love with her. It’s easy to understand why - she did not have a judgmental bone in her body. Wilma loved everyone exactly the same.
Wilma will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
