Robert "Bob" Wells Perry, Sr.

Mr. Robert Wells Perry, Sr. “Bob” died peacefully in Ocala, Florida on 19 January 2025 at the age of 88.

Bob is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gale Jean Frost Perry; children, Denah Perry Kull, Rick David Perry, and Robert Wells Perry, Jr “Bill”; grandchildren David Russell Kull “Chip”, Jennifer Kaye Kull Wojcik, Kimberly Grace Kull Hartman, Rick David Perry Jr., Kelsey Lynne Perry and Matthew Wells Perry; great grandchildren, Elise Kull, Chole Kull, Benjamin Wojcik, Bown Wojcik, Grayson Wojcik, Tenley Wojcik, Logan Hartman, Benjamin David Perry, and Charlotte Michelle Perry. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Robert Perry & Dorothy Mae Chesebro, grandson, Matthew Kull, and wives Kay Francis Fowler Perry, and Nena Jeanette Creekmore Raborn Perry. 

Bob was born on 25 July 1936 in Gloversville, New York to Claude & Dorothy Perry. He graduated from Bucknell University in 1958 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He married Kay Francis Fowler, in 1954 and the couple welcomed 3 children into their home. Bob married Nena Jeanette Creekmore Raborn in 1983. Bob married Gale Jean Frost in 2003. Bob worked for the US Army, then the Department of Defense, and government contractors as an ordnance expert. 

Bob was accomplished at radio control airplanes and cars and chose his retirement community of On Top of the World, Ocala, Florida because they had a flying field as an amenity. He was also supportive of and active with the raising of Selkirk Rex cats that he and Gale showed. He was an active and dedicated member of the On Top of the World R/C Flyers and Car Clubs and volunteered in various officer positions in both clubs for many years. 

A funeral is scheduled for noon on Saturday, 1 March 2025 at Highlands Memorial Park, 1515 NE Third Street, Ocala, Florida 34470 (near the pond), with a reception to follow at On Top of the World, Arbor Club Conference Center, Music Room, 10074 SW 94th Street, Ocala, FL 34481. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob’s life.
