Roger Bruce Frost

Mr. Roger Bruce Frost died peacefully in Ocala, Florida on 10 January 2025 at the age of 88.

Roger is survived by his children, Gary Bruce Frost and Gale Jean Frost Perry; grandchildren, Sterling Michael Frost and Vanessa Marie Frost Piedrahita; great grandchildren, Isaiah Frost, Sophia Frost, Mateo Piedrahita, and Santi Piedrahita; and sister, Jacqueline Frost Sawyer. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Margaret Kramer Frost; and parents, Clarence “Bruce” Frost and Beatrice Huyg Frost. 

Roger was born on 27 February 1936 in Deerfield, Illinois to Bruce & Bea Frost. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He married Jean Margaret Kramer, in 1960 and the couple welcomed 2 children into their home. They also had numerous high school and college exchange students and teachers from around the world that lived with them. Roger worked for the US Department of Defense, and government contractors as an electrical engineer.

Roger was an active stamp and coin collector throughout his adult life. He and Jean followed their daughter to the retirement community of On Top of the World, Ocala, Florida in 2008. He was also supportive of and active with the raising of Selkirk Rex cats and producing cat shows along with his daughter, Gale. 

A funeral is scheduled for noon on Saturday, 1 March 2025 at Highlands Memorial Park, 1515 NE Third Street, Ocala, Florida 34470 (near the pond), with a reception to follow at On Top of the World, Arbor Club Conference Center, Music Room, 10074 SW 94th Street, Ocala, FL 34481. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rogers’ life.
