Elizabeth Amanda Zavala
April 27th, 1971 - January 28th, 2025
Elizabeth Amanda Zavala 53, of Thornton Colorado was born on April 27, 1971 in Longmont Colorado to her parents Francis Romo and Benny Duran. She attended schools in Longmont, Colorado and College in Denver, Colorado. She passed away on January 28th, 2025 peacefully at her home in her sleep with a smile on her face.
Elizabeth was known by many as Liz, or Lisa but she was most proud of her nickname given to her by her grandchildren “Grandma Sugar”. Liz Loved watching football especially if her New England Patriots were playing. She loved life, her family and friends great food and to dance, and of course her puppy Guerito who kept her on the search for her missing items from her AirPods to her Avocados that he’d constantly be hiding from her. Liz had a smile so big and a laugh to make anyone happy. She lit up any room she entered with her beauty and presence. She always made sure that her make up and hair were to perfection.
Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister & friend. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Felicia(Ruben) Rosales, Latoya(Lupe) Torres, her grandchildren, Marina Atler, Ruben jr. Nehemiah, Noah, Joey, Roman, and Daisy Rosales, and her great granddaughter Ariella Atler Elizondo. She is further survived by her sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous friends and loved ones and of course her puppy Guerito.
She is preceded in death by her son, Joey Atler III, her parents, and grandparents.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
