Allen Irvin Iwerks
November 25th, 1944 - January 25th, 2025
Allen Irvin Iwerks, 80, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on January 25, 2025. He was born on November 25, 1944, in Milbank, South Dakota to Earle Iwerks and Marion Iwerks.
Allen was a strong and independent man who cherished his family deeply. He was known for his wonderful jokes, joyous personality, and thinking of others before himself. He was a loving father to his two daughters Tanya Sutton and Kathy Teele. Allen also leaves behind his brother Doug Iwerks, sister Jan Iwerks and sister Nancy Hall, and four adoring grandchildren.
In his career, Allen held various jobs from a farm boy to a painter, owning a salvage yard, and working construction. Later in his life he enjoyed learning about and investing in the stock market. Allen attended several churches throughout his life and most recently found comfort at St. Paul’s Congregational Church.
Allen served in the army and fought in the Vietnam War. He traveled the world and loved spending time outdoors. He raised his daughters to experience life with laughter and gratitude. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, working on cars, and painting in his free time. He found peace in gardening and learning about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00pm at St. Paul’s Congregational Church. 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley, CO. 80634.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Church or Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Loveland Colorado, in memory of Allen Iwerks.
Allen’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
