James Ray Brewer
January 24th, 1991 - January 24th, 2025
In Loving Memory
James Ray Brewer, 34, passed away on January 24, 2025, after a brief illness. James was proud of being raised in his hometown of Stokesdale, NC. He was residing in his current home of Kernersville, NC when God called him home.
For everyone who was lucky enough to have known him, James had a smile and a hug that would melt your heart. If you were really lucky, you were blessed by his cooking, which was second to none. It would be hard to determine if James was more passionate about cooking or fishing, of course for him they went hand in hand. His compassion for family and friends resonated to unimaginable levels as well, there was nothing that he would not do for those he loved.
James is survived by his mom, Tracy Kimberly Leatherman (Philip) of Cherryville, NC that resonates her own beautiful soul. In James’ own words “My Superman” Pops Jonathan Keith Weiss (Missy), the dad who raised him to be the amazing man that he became. His loving Grandparents Lorraine Middleton Beasley (Bill), Cynthia Sink (Frank), John Weiss. His Aunts and Uncles “Bubba” Todd Beasley (Misty), “TJ” Travis Beasley, Mike Queen (Angie), Christopher Grubbs (Jessica), Kim Compton Moore (Rodney), Wendy Mays (Martin), Mike “Yank” Jones (Candi), “Willy” William Coppersmith (Delphia). Cousins Carson Jolly (Rusty), Dalton Beasley, Bella Beasley, Meredith Queen Bonilla (Phil), Trey Potter, Christian Grubbs (Jolie), Mason Grubbs (Lauren) Adam Moore (Andrea), Ashley Mudge (Jarvis), Dalton Ward (Caley), Miguel Espinosa-Ponce (Ashley), Romeo Espinosa-Ponce, Rosanna Espinosa-Ponce. Step-sister Chasity Lynn Hogan (Hunter) Mallory Lee Lawson, Step-brother Eric Lee Lawson. Niece Ember Sage Hogan. James was preceded in death by his Grandpa Thomas Frank Beasley, Great Grandma Geneva Middleton and Sister Ashley Dawn. James also leaves behind his beloved Jessica and Kylie Rostosky, they were family that he had built from a very deep love for them both. He had wanted his own family for so long, we are so thankful that he had them in his life, even if for only a few short years. We know that he loved you both with every fiber of his being and loved Kylie as if she were his very own.
James has left his physical world to be with his loving Lord Jesus. We are all taking solace in knowing that we will have the most precious Guardian Angel watching over us until we meet again.
A visitation and celebration of James’ life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Immediately following the visitation, the family invites friends and relatives to 2777 Stable Hill Trail, Kernersville, NC 27284 for food and fellowship.
