Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Redfearn
October 16th, 1952 - January 30th, 2025
Sandra Lynn Redfearn, 72, passed away on January 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and warmth. Sandy was born in Amarillo, Texas, on October 16, 1952, to Laurie and Mary Vroom (née Barnard).
She graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo in 1971, where she met the love of her life, Mark Redfearn. The two high school sweethearts went on to pursue higher education together. Sandy graduated with Honors in 1975 with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Texas A&M University, and began a career as a high school teacher, where she shared her passion for math and science with her students.
Sandy's adventurous spirit was evident in her many interests. She and Mark shared a deep love for traveling the open road on their Harley Davidson, often embarking on long, scenic journeys across the U.S. She also cherished spending time outdoors, whether it was watching the sun set on a Cancun beach or watching the birds, coffee in hand, on her patio.
Sandy's faith was especially strong. She knew that this world was not her home. She shared a deep love for the Lord and raised her family in pursuit of faith and devotion for Jesus. Sandy had a heart of worship and loved being in the presence of God. She was a lighthouse of joy and always thankful for what God had provided.
Above all, Sandy’s greatest joy was being with her family.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Laurie and Mary Vroom. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Mark Redfearn; their sons, Brandon Redfearn and his wife, Elizabeth, and Derek Redfearn and his wife, Roxy; and her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Jax, Kayden, Xander, and Izzy. She also leaves behind her brother, Brian Vroom and his wife, Marnie; nephew Daniel Vroom; niece Sarah Roberson; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Sandy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
