Lincoln G. Berquist
February 12th, 1929 - January 28th, 2025
Lincoln “Linc” Berquist, 95, of 8001 W. 71st Ave. Arvada, CO passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
He was born on February 12, 1929, to Goodwin F. and Millicent K. Berquist in Oceanside, New York. Linc graduated from Hamden High School, Hamden, CT in 1946. Upon graduation he enlisted in the military. Linc moved to Denver in 1950. He met his future bride, Lois Ward, at Highland Manufacturing. They married in 1951 and raised four children together, Larry (Cindy) Berquist of Lakewood CO, Debi (Sam) Wellington of Arvada CO, Steve (Jeri) Berquist of Lakewood CO, and Gail Berquist of Wheat Ridge CO. He is survived by his wife, four children,5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Linc and Lois were members of the United Church of the Applewood’s where he served as a deacon. Linc achieved an associate degree in management in 1976. He retired in 1986 after working 33 years for Rocky Flats Nuclear Energy. Linc and Lois enjoyed bowling, golf, traveling, and entertaining friends and family, both in Colorado and Arizona. The hours he spent outdoors were one of his greatest pleasures. Linc made a second career of buying, selling and renovating real estate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Linc lived a full life dedicated to his family and career. He will be laid to rest following a private service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on February 12, 2025.
