Judy Darlene Atwell, age 78, passed to eternity into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 31, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
Darlene was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Larkin and stepfather, William Larkin, father, Lonnie Cubbins, sister, Faye Foster, and brother, Rick Larkin. Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Charles Atwell, children, Michelle Christian (Brandon), Sandra Huffstetler (Mark), Charles Atwell Jr., sister, Regina Larkin Johnson, brother-in-law, James Atwell (Michele), sister-in-law, Carol Larkin, brother-in-law, Jim Foster, grandchildren, Joshua Collins, Morgan Christian, Alex Burns, Caylyn Burns, Sean Butler, Brittney Huffstetler, Chandler Atwell (Miranda), Riley Atwell, Carter Atwell, Great Granddaughter Emerson Atwell, nieces, Lisa Taylor Gray (Stuart), Brandi Bryant, nephew, Bobby Taylor, and great nephew, Dean Gray.
Those who knew Darlene will remember her for her abiding love and faith in Jesus Christ, her smile, laughter, joy in all things, and her love of her family and friends. She left a lasting impression on all who crossed paths with her, and she wouldn’t let you go without one of her hugs. Darlene loved her pastors, Pastor Lanis Lewis, and Pastor Terry Bonds and all of her church family at First Assembly of God in Lincolnton, GA. She was a huge advocate and volunteer at the Humane Society of McCormick, SC, and she loved everyone who she volunteered with. Darlene loved all animals, especially the ones she took care of.
The Memorial Service for Judy Darlene Atwell will be held on February 11, 2025 at 12:30 PM at First Assembly of God at 328 May Avenue, Lincolnton, GA 30817.
Graveside Service will be held on February 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery at 5716 Monroe Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28212.
