It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Alan Beatty, Sr., a devoted husband and father who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 79.

 

Born in Hackettstown, New Jersey on May 23, 1945 he was the son of Kenneth Tilden Beatty and Lydia Wilson Beatty.

 

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Price Beatty of 30 years; his son, Bruce Alan Beatty, Jr.; daughter in law, Michele Beatty of Chapin, SC; his grandchildren, Bruce Alan Beatty, III (Trad), Sarah Joyce Beatty and Ashlyn Elise Beatty; two stepchildren, Stephanie Wilkins and Clinton Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Beatty and sister, Joyce Beatty Lally.

 

He was a graduate of Hackettstown High School where Bruce excelled in football and wrestling. He attended the University of SC with a football scholarship and graduated in 1967 and was an ACC honor roll recipient while attending USC. Bruce was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. In 1968, he graduated with a Master's degree from the University of SC in business administration. Bruce enjoyed boating and spending time with his beautiful family.

 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 8th, at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington, SC.  Visitation at Noon and service at 1 pm.
