Marianne A Glover

Marianne A Glover of Hart, Mi. and formerly of Bradenton, Fl. has sadly  passed away on Feb 1, 2025, surrounded by loving Family.  She was born on Dec. 20, 1926 in Duisburg Hamborn, Germany to Josef Seitz and Katarina (Weckowski) Seitz.

She was a warm, loving, hard working Wife, Mother and Matriarch of 6 generations. 

She moved to America in 1952 with her husband Anthony Manz and their 2 daughters Rosemarie and Helga.  They worked hard and eventually opened 2 successful businesses in Ellwood City, Pa.  Ellwood City Typewriter Service where they sold and repaired office and home machines.  And T & M Manz Co that had knick knacks, greeting cards, childrens clothes and imported specialty foods. 

In 1967, due to health problems, they moved their family to Bradenton, Fl. and lived in ( the now) Sandpiper MHP on Bradenton Beach, Fl. While caring for her husband, Marianne cleaned mobile homes in the park, so she was always close.

After his passing, Marianne married Jack Glover of Hart, Mi and worked along side him on his Centennial Fruit Farm.  During cherry season, Marianne sold cherries at their roadside fruit stand. Customers came every year from as far as Indiana, crossing on the Badger, to get lugs of cherries and jugs of cherry juice.  She used to wash all the cherries and the "split" ones were usually given free to the cars with children in them.

She didn't like to waste anything.

She loved to cook, many 'German' dishes and always had a hot meal for her family and anyone that unexpectedly dropped in.  As a child she learned to knit,crochete and sew.  She didnt use patterns, she could look at something and figure out how to replicate it.  She made many stocking caps, comforters, baby hats and blankets which she shared with Family, friends and charitable organizations.  She could always be seen with her yarn and needles, no matter where she was.  She also enjoyed canning and preserving any kind of fruit or vegetable.

She leaves behind Daughters Rosemarie Mundorff of Bradenton, Fl and Helga Matos of Bradenton, Fl and Hart, Mi.  One Grandaughter, Leslie Cooper of Fyffe, Al (formerly of Bradenton,Fl); three great grandchildren, Joshewa Matos (Sara), Samantha Couch, Fyffe, Al., formerly of Bradenton, Fl. and Ashley (Cooper) Padgett (Scott) of Pisgah, Al (formerly of Bradenton, Fl.  Twelve great-great grandchildren, Whitney (Sharrah) Davison (Hunter), Colton Sharrah, Kylie Sharrah, Adalynn Matos and Aaron Matos all of North Port, Fl., Alissa Couch, Jerome Craft, Jeremiah Couch, Jayden Couch and Alexis Couch all of Fyffe, Al. and Dresden Padgett, Draven Padgett of pisgah, Al. And one great-great-great grandchild, Nova Couch of Pisgah, Al.

Ashley woud like to add that her "Oma" has left her family with a lasting legacy of love, thriftiness and generosity.

Leslie added "Oma, if I could find a way to capture all my tears, I'd make an ocean of happiness and sail away with my memories of you".

Marianne wished to be cremated at Griffith Cline Funeral Home in Bradenton, Fl. with no services.  She will be buried in Hart, Mi. beside Jack in the Spring, with a celebration of life following.

Our hearts are sad to have lost her but the joy of having her in our lives will go on forever.
