Aurora Eilla Maldonado, 49, of Greeley, Colorado passed on January 25,2025. She was born on July18, 1975 in Greeley, Colorado to Merjilda & Robert Ruiz. 

  Aurora was a strong willed & giving person who was always protective of her family & friends. She was well known for her love of children and compassion for taking care of others. 

   Growing up Aurora attended schools in the Greeley area, Aurora worked as a CNA for several years and in between working as a CNA she would babysit children for family and friends. Aurora worked hard and later in adulthood received her GED, her family was so proud of her. She attended online college and received an associate’s degree in medical assisting, she hoped to pursue a career in nursing or health care management. Due to certain circumstances she put school on hold for a bit and was excited to have found a new job prior to her passing with Cutco. Aurora lived a vibrant life and was taken too soon, she will be greatly missed. 

Aurora was preceded in death by her father Robert Ruiz, Grandparents Porfirio Garcia, Dora & Phillip S. Gallegos, Uncle Eugene Gallegos and several maternal cousins whom left this world too soon. 

She is survived by her Sons John Valencia, Joshua Valencia & Harold Maldonado (Andrea Juarez-Perez). Grandson Elias Hernan Milagro Juarez-Perez. Mother Merjilda Altman, Step-father Philip (Patricia) Gallegos. Maternal Grandmother Aurora Garcia. Siblings Rebecca(Austin) Brannan, Jemalie Gallegos(Aaron Oglesby), Felipa Gallegos, Philip Jr.(Tiffany) Gallegos & Thomas Garcia. Step-siblings Jennifer(Fred) Cruz-Haswell, Ramon(Katherine) Morado, Ricky Morado & Andrea Morado. She is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. 

  The family has decided to have a private viewing followed by cremation, they welcome family and friends to join them after to celebrate Aurora’s life at the VFW in Ault on Thursday February 13th at 2pm. An event was created on Facebook for more details. 

The family would like to thank everyone for all the continued prayers.
