Brandi Terese Werra, 52, of Columbus, MN passed away February 3, 2025 surrounded by her community of family and loved ones. She is survived by her husband Gabe Werra; their sons Austin (21), Sam (18) and Parker (16); father-in-law Jack Werra; fur babies Buddy and Remi; mother Musa Vadnais; step dad Bruce (Sue) Bain; aunts Lucy Simas and Juli (Rob) James; brother Thor MacBain; sister Morgan (Dave) Hirsch; cousins Will (19) and Micah (10); nephews and niece Arthur, Edward and Marit. She is also survived by many other loving family members and close friends.
Brandi grew up in many different states, including southern California and Nevada, before settling in Minnesota. She attended White Bear Lake High School and began her career in landscape, running her own business “Dirt-E-Girl Lawn and Property Maintenance". Brandi's heart was in the outdoors whether it was up north in cabin-country hiking along Minnesota's north shore, off-roading in the heat of the desert, or sitting along a coastline watching the sunrise and sunset.
Brandi was the matriarch of her family (and yours if you let her… or even if you didn't). She was a mama-bear (and more specifically a “boy-mom”) to her kids and all kids alike. Between her fierce loyalty and her candor, there was an unparalleled sense of trust you felt in relationship with her. She had an open-door policy, welcoming anyone and everyone into her home, no questions asked.
Visitation will be held from 12:00PM(Noon) until 3:00PM Tuesday February 11, 2025 at Sandberg Funeral Home with Funeral Services being held at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a Minnesota nonprofit for kids. As an option, the family has chosen “Kids In Need Foundation” https://www.kinf.org/donate/ but you are welcome to pick a Minnesota-based kids' nonprofit of your choice, if preferred.
