Jerry Allen Taylor

Jerry Allen Taylor, age 80, born November 9, 1944, passed away on January 1, 2025, in Roseville, CA. 

He is survived by his wife, Kathie (McReynolds) Taylor; daughters Kerrie Brand, Joy Kelley, and son Kurt Nangle along with seven grandchildren, brother Wade Taylor and 

sister Cindy Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Barrett (Raisty) Taylor; sister Linda Sarno.

Jerry served in the United States Army from 1964-1966. While serving, he met his lifelong friend Rod Allen. They shared countless adventures and memorable antics throughout the years. 

As an entrepreneur, Jerry owned several small businesses in Hawaii and California and was always thinking of new ventures to pursue.

Jerry had a kind heart and always went out of his way to help a stranger if needed. He enjoyed a good laugh and was known for his sharp wit. Jerry had a love of the outdoors and shared that with his family. He inspired many camping trips and travel over the years. He was a skilled marksman and won many awards for target shooting skill. He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed some time working with an ocean salmon fishing crew out of Monterey Bay.

He spent his years after retirement primarily in California in the cities of Cool, Santa Rosa and Roseville.

He is buried alongside his father, mother and sister in the New Auburn cemetery in Auburn, California.
