In Loving Memory of Ural Valentine Willis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ural "Val" Willis on January 27, 2025, at the age of 72.

Val was born on July 28, 1952, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Marion and Ural Willis. As the son of an army officer, Val traveled the world with his family before they eventually settled in San Jose, California.

After high school, Val joined the Air Force, where he served until his honorable discharge. He pursued a degree in journalism but found a fulfilling career at Versatec, where he met his future wife, Debra Willis and became a proud father to his daughters, Tajvia and Devin Willis. Val spent the remainder of his life in Sacramento, California, to be close to his family and friends.

Val had a passion for watching sports, especially football and basketball, with a special fondness for the Los Angeles Rams. He was an avid reader, particularly enjoying the works of Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Val also loved riding his motorcycle and was a skilled chess player. Known for his great sense of humor, he was a thrill-seeker who enjoyed roller coasters and skydiving.

He is survived by his daughters, Tajvia and Devin, his mother, Marion Willis, his brother, Ricky, and his sister, Kathy Willis.

Val will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
