Gerald Roger King

Gerald Roger King, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 90. He was surrounded by his beloved wife of 65 years, Edith Fowler King, and their children.
Born in Arkansas, Gerald met Edith while they were working at the “Texarkana Gazette”. The couple married in 1959 and built a life centered on faith and family. In 1967, they moved to Virginia, where Gerald began a long and dedicated career at the Government Printing Office until his retirement. In 2011, Gerald and Edith relocated to Florida to enjoy their later years together.
Gerald was a man of deep faith and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his wife: Edith Fowler King; their three children: Roger Duane King, Donald S. King, and Jennifer King Haller; as well as six grandchildren: John King, Zachery King, Michael Haller, Matthew Haller, Marcus Haller, and Stephanie Haller.
