Carolyn Joann Trent
February 24th, 1950 - February 6th, 2025
Carolyn Joann Trent 74, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Kingsport to the late Mack and Eliza Marshall. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Clyde Marshall; sister, Annie Salyers.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Wayne Trent; daughter, Penny Stidham and husband Richard; grandchildren, Cody Stidham and wife Courtney, Ally Dorton and husband Luke; great-grandchild, Carsyn Stidham; special niece, Pam Cox; special nephew, Darrell Salyer; along with a host of friends and extended family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill with Pastor Mitch Russell officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive by 1:50pm.
A graveside service will follow at Mt. Mitchell Cemetery with Richard Stidham, Cody Stidham, Luke Dorton, Darrell Salyer, TJ Frazier, and CJ Frazier serving as pallbearers.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is serving the Trent family.
