Florence (Flo) Virginia Loewen passed away on Sunday, February 2,  2025 at Laurel Cove  Community In Memory Care, Shoreline, Washington, at the age of 97.  She was born in Seattle, Washington on May 31, 1927 to Wilfred and Katherine (Legatt) Edgar. She grew up with two brothers, Ernest and Eugene, who are both deceased.  Her family lived in North Seattle, and she attended Seattle schools. She married Peter M. Loewen in 1944, and they had five children; Richard (Ardyth), Connie Neudoerffer, Tom (Diana), David (Gloria), and Linda (deceased) Bistline (Don). Florence’s extended family includes eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She lived to be the matriarch of the Edgar and Loewen families.  Flo’s family and home were the pride and joy of her life. She had lived in her house for 75 years where she enjoyed many creative and imaginative hobbies, including sewing, needlepoint, hand crafts, and gardening. She relished family gatherings in her lovely large yard.   Flo will be remembered as a loving, “young at heart,” warm, enthusiastic, enjoyable mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. 

Cremation arrangements are by Beck’s Tribute Center in Edmonds, Washington. A graveside gathering with family will be held in the spring of 2025 at Restlawn Cemetery in Edmonds, Washington.
