“Some of its magic, some its tragic, but I've had a good life along the way.” ― Jimmy Buffett

Parks, Michael Allen, 80, of Bakersfield, CA passed away January 31, 2025.

Michael was born in Bakersfield, CA on February 19, 1944 to Adelaide (Hailey) and Jesse Parks.

Mike graduated High School in 1961 and married his high school sweetheart, Sandi Davis. Together they had 2 boys Kirk and Todd. Later in life Mike reunited with his high school crush Vicki Voice and they married in 1990. Together they enjoyed their blended families that brought new joys with grandparenthood until Vicki’s passing in 2015.

Mike’s Uncle Stan Segal introduced him to the Insurance business and he had a long successful career as an Independent Insurance Agent, until Di Buduo & Di Fendis Insurance bought his company. He then ran their Bakersfield office until his retirement.

Mike was the life of the party, the very best host at any gathering, he loved to dance; especially with Vicki in the living room. Their home was always filled with warmth, room for one more, and Jimmy Buffett sing a long's.

Mike is survived by his brother Bill Parks (Nancy) of Mechanicsville, VA, son Kirk Parks (Julieta) of Ventura, CA, and son Todd Parks (Jennifer) of Santa Barbara, CA as well as a host of grandchildren that all call him something different! Carlie & Blake’s Bampie, Cara, Cash and Bella’s Pawhey, Zeke, Zoe and Gigi’s Papa, and Jesse, Jake and Julia’s Grandpa will be missed but never forgotten.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday February 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery Northeast, 3700 River Blvd. Bakersfield, CA 93305
