David Douglas Nester June 4th, 1950 - January 19th, 2025, Rancho Cordova, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Mayburn and Helen Copley, his sister Sharon Pletcher and grandchild Ledger Ramsland (Angel Baby). He is survived by daughter Melissa Nester and grandson Dylan Nester, daughter Chelsea Ramsland, son-in-law Tom Ramsland, grandchildren Leona Nester, Lillian Ramsland, Logan Ramsland, and Lincoln Ramsland. Dave’s early life was in Logan County, West Virginia and then Cleveland Ohio. He moved his family to Washington State and then Berrien Springs Michigan to finish his education which included a B.A. in Theology with a speech minor, a Master of Divinity with an emphasis on mental health and family dynamics. He spent his life serving others. He went on to pastor in churches in Ohio and moved on to Head Minister in Minnetonka Minnesota. After retiring he moved to California and enjoyed his life full of gardening, fishing, camping, making quilts, building whatever his daughters would dream up, a whole lot of baseball and being with whom he called “his babies.” Oh, did he love his babies.  

There is no man, father, or Poppy that will be missed as much.
