Davis Halsey Tucker, III, died on January 31, 2025, at his home in Monument where he was being cared for by his family. He was born on May 1, 1934, in Phoenix, AZ to Davis Halsey Tucker II and Chrystal Turner Tucker and spent most of his childhood in El Paso Texas. He later moved to the Houston, Texas, area where he completed high school and earned a BA and BS in Chemical Engineering from Rice University. He spent his entire career working at Rohm & Haas Company in Deer Park, Texas. 

 

He  is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy  Chauvin Tucker; 5 children and 4 grandchildren: Davis IV, George, Nancy Tarlinton (Brian dec’d), Coleman (Heather), and Chrystal —Erica and Desmond Tarlinton, and Michael Allen and Annabelle Abair.

 

His great talent and love of photography were gifts that have left us a treasured legacy of wonderful photographs. His exceptional sailing ability provided hours of enjoyment and wonderful experiences as he sailed his Hobie 14 in numerous regattas and the family travelled with him. After moving to Colorado, his love of fishing at Monument Lake brought him hours of pleasure and fellowship. Wonderful neighbors have made our house in Monument a treasured home. 

 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday February 19 at St Peter Church, 55 Jefferson St in Monument Colorado.
