Cynthia Kathleen Della Penna (Geiger), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend of Lakewood, Washington, passed away October 11, 2024 from Small Cell Lung Cancer. 

Cynthia was born in Seattle, Washington on June 28, 1956 to Theodore and Mary Lou Geiger. During her younger years, she moved to Canada with her mother where she met, and married, Andrew Ewen. Together they had two amazing daughters. Unfortunately, this marriage ended a few years later and she, and her daughters, moved back to the United States where she would eventually meet the love of her life, Rodney. Life was not always easy for them, but they created a world for their little family of four that was full of love, laughter, and fun. 

In addition to being an amazing wife and mother, she was known for being a generous, caring friend. She believed in being kind to those around her. While money was always tight, she would often say that one does not have to have a lot to make a difference. Kindness is free. Those who knew her knew this was one value she always stood by. Once a friend to her, you were family.

Though Cyndi was not in a hurry to go to the great beyond, we are certain she is ecstatic to be back with her “Boo” and they are raising all kinds of ruckus in Heaven. 

She is survived by her daughters, Carla (Jaime) and Jaime (Mike); grandchildren Chase, Heidi, Kaitlyn, and Trevor; sister Missy; and countless other family and friends who loved her very much.
