Raphael King

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Raphael King who transitioned on February 2, 2025 at the age of 53. He was born on April 21, 1971 in Harlem, NY to Katherine Rhudell King and Albert Guy Washington, who both preceded him in death. He was the second born of 4 children.

Raphael was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, and uncle. His family was his world and his love and kindness will be missed by all who loved him. A man of many passions who had a deep love for music. From 2001-2003 he was a part of Ghostown Records which gave him the opportunity to do what he loved which was to perform and entertain. He was well respected and connected with so many people. Raphael's love for life was infectious and he had a deep love for working out and fitness training. He was a staple in the calisthenics/workout community.  He was a reference for the NBXA (National Barmetrixx Extreme Association) the first calisthenics competition of its kind.  He was a Coach and Trainer and inspired many men, women, and children in the community to take their health seriously. He made an impact on everyone he came in contact with. So full of life, laughter, and wisdom, on November 14, 2014 Raphael became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church Ministries. During COVID he became a part of DFF (Drama Free Family) where he became a part of his community and was committed and dedicated to making a change.

Precious and cherished memories remain with those he loved: His wife, Katrice Rabb-King, his children, Sharice Dunkin, Lisa Adams, Devonte Burgess, Chelse Rabb, Khadjia Graham, Cameron Rabb and Debra Rabb; his mother and father-in-law, Debra Graham-Rabb and Primus Rabb; his son-in-law Eric Bryant: his siblings, Shaun King, Tyese King and D'vera King who predeceased him, his stepmom, Omega Morris; his 8 grandchildren, a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins, extended family members and good friends.

His admiration, love, electric laughter and personality will be extremely and painfully missed.
