Robert "Bobby" Gaither Boyles
October 7th, 1944 - February 8th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Mr. Robert "Bobby" Gaither Boyles, 80, of King passed away on February 8, 2025 under the care of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Marine) Boyles and husband of Leah "Allison" Payne Boyles.
He spent most of his time driving his truck for over 20 years until he retired. After retiring from Allied Systems, Robert stayed in the workforce still driving his truck. When he was not driving around, he would spend time watching others drive around (racing/NASCAR). He worked as part of the pit crew at Bowman Gray Stadium with the modified division, which is where he met his loving wife, Allison. He was loved by all that knew him and was often referred to as "the gentle giant" by close friends and family. Family was a priority to him and he will be missed by them deeply.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Allison Boyles; his sister, Doris Jones of Siler City, NC; his children, John Scheck (Eliza) of Derwood, MD, Teresa Butler (Eddie) of Thomasville, NC, Regina Cranford (JP) of Thomasville, NC, Clint Atkins (Dawn) of Wallburg, NC, Traci Lynch (John) of Wallburg, NC; his grandchildren, Zachary (Andrea), Jeff, Crystal, Dylan, Stacey, Jordan, Brady, Wynter, Taylor, and Katelyn; his many great-grandchildren; and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Boyles.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Service - Kernersville Chapel, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville NC 27284 on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 from 1:00PM-2:00PM. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow beginning at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating.
