Donna Eileen Laidler

Donna E. Laidler, age 89 of Land O’ Lakes, Florida (formerly of Harbor Beach, MI) passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Aspire at Brooksville, a long-term care facility in Brooksville, Florida.  She was born on March 8, 1935 in Pontiac, MI to the late Thomas and Fern (McKenzie) Guest. Donna and Leo “Bill” Laidler were united in marriage on November 29, 1952 in Angola, IN.  She worked as a Cook for Lapeer Schools and upon retirement, Donna moved and attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Harbor Beach. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and other arts & craft activities.  Donna also enjoyed singing in the church choir and in choral groups.  She will be remembered for her sweet, sometimes impish, smile and caring heart.

Donna is survived by her children; Rebecca (Douglas) Hassler of Oscoda, MI and Land O’ Lakes, Florida, Douglas (Kristi) Laidler of North Port,  Florida, and Janice Laidler of Lapeer, MI.  She is also survived by her son-in-law, Lance Davidson of Lebanon, TN; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews. 

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; daughter, Deborah Davidson; son, Robert Laidler; granddaughter, Jeannie Davidson; brothers, Leland, Dwight and James Guest; sister-in-law, Betty Guest; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Donna will be cremated and no service is planned.  Arrangements are being handled by Loyless Funeral Homes of Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
