Servando Trujillo Chavez, age 57, of Greeley, CO, passed away on February 7, 2025. He was born on October 21, 1967, in Cd Madera, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Bacilio Trujillo Hernandez and Maria Esther Chavez.

Servando was known for his adventurous spirit, great sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality. Everyone who knew him or met him was sure to hear a joke and leave with a smile after talking to him. He loved everything cowboy—old western movies, boots, horses, you name it.

 

A brilliant and hardworking man, Servando had an incredible talent for working on cars, often making the impossible possible. His passion for renovating houses turned ordinary spaces into beautiful homes. His love for animals was evident in the way he cared for cows and horses, and most of all, his little grand-dog Princess.

Servando cherished the time spent with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. 

 

He was always well-dressed in boots and a cowboy hat, a style that left a lasting impression. Servando also enjoyed working outdoors, planting trees and vegetables that brought life and beauty to the world around him.

In his personal life, Servando was deeply loved by his family and friends. 

 

He is survived by his daughters Caitlin (Richard) Wyrick and Zorayah Trujillo; grandson Sebastian and soon to be born granddaughter; bonus children Leticia Ortiz, Angel Castillo, and Eliz Ortiz; bonus grandson Juan Galvan Jr, bonus granddaughter Betsy Ortiz; siblings Maria Dolores (Antonio), Manuel Erasmo, Carmen Gloria (Beto), Gerardo, Hugo Bacilo (Laura), and German (Lizeth); as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends. 

 

He was preceded in death by his father Bacilio Trujillo Hernandez, mother Maria Esther Chavez, and brother Arnoldo Trujillo Chavez.

 

A memorial service will be held at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8th St., Greeley, CO 80631 on February 28, 2025. Public viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a ceremony from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Flowers may be sent directly to the funeral home by February 27, 2025. Servando’s remains will be inurned later in the year with his parents in Mexico.

 

His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the lessons he imparted. Servando’s love, generosity, and unwavering presence will never be forgotten. 

 

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Nació el 21 de octubre de 1967 en Cd Madera, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Bacilio Trujillo Hernández y María Esther Chávez. Servando era conocido por su espíritu aventurero, su gran sentido del humor y su gran personalidad. Todos los que lo conocieron o lo conocieron seguramente escucharían una broma y se irían con una sonrisa después de hablar con él. Le encantaba todo lo relacionado con los vaqueros: las viejas películas del oeste, las botas, los caballos, lo que fuera. Hombre brillante y trabajador, Servando tenía un talento increíble para trabajar en coches, a menudo haciendo posible lo imposible. Su pasión por renovar casas convirtió espacios ordinarios en hermosos hogares. Su amor por los animales era evidente en la forma en que cuidaba de las vacas y los caballos, y sobre todo, de su pequeña perrita, la princesa. Servando apreciaba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia, creando recuerdos que serán atesorados para siempre.  Siempre iba bien vestido con botas y sombrero de vaquero, un estilo que dejó una impresión duradera. Servando también disfrutaba trabajando al aire libre, plantando árboles y verduras que daban vida y belleza al mundo que lo rodeaba.En su vida personal, Servando fue profundamente querido por su familia y amigos.Le sobreviven sus hijas Caitlin (Richard) Wyrick y Zorayah Trujillo; nieto Sebastián y nieta que pronto nacerá; los hijos Leticia Ortiz, Ángel Castillo y Eliz Ortiz; su nieto Juan Galván Jr., su nieta Betsy Ortiz; los hermanos María Dolores (Antonio), Manuel Erasmo, Carmen Gloria (Beto), Gerardo, Hugo Bacilo (Laura) y Germán (Lizeth); así como muchos tíos, tías, primos y amigos de toda la vida.Le precedieron en la muerte su padre Bacilio Trujillo Hernández, su madre María Esther Chávez y su hermano Arnoldo Trujillo Chávez.El 28 de febrero de 2025 se llevará a cabo un servicio conmemorativo en el Crematorio del Norte de Colorado, 700 8th St., Greeley, CO 80631. El velatorio público será de 1:00 p.m. a 2:00 p.m., seguido de una ceremonia de 2:00 p.m. a 4:00 p.m. Las flores pueden enviarse directamente a la funeraria antes del 27 de febrero de 2025. Los restos de Servando serán enterrados a finales de año junto a sus padres en México.Su legado perdurará a través de las innumerables vidas que tocó y las lecciones que impartió. El amor, la generosidad y la presencia inquebrantable de Servando nunca serán olvidados. Será profundamente extrañado por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.
