Robert Lee Eller
May 31st, 1932 - February 10th, 2025
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Lee Eller of Mooresville on February 10, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1932, in Wilkes County, North Carolina, to the late Faye Gilreath Blakenship (stepfather Beach Blakenship) and Lawson Polo Eller.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Camille Lovette Eller; son Daniel Lee Eller; daughter Donna Lee Eller; granddaughter Lyndsay Eller Mack (Travis Mack); grandson Davis Lee Murray; great-grandchildren Hudson Lee, Teagan Lee, and Laken Lee Mack; stepsons Chuck Harris (Teal Harris) and Bryan Harris (Melanie Harris); grandchildren Cullen, Rachel, Larkin, and Chandler Harris; and many more loving family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Ben Eller, and his oldest son, David Lee Eller.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, storyteller, entrepreneur, and Army veteran. He leaves a legacy filled with remarkable accomplishments, unforgettable tales, and a profound impact on all who had the privilege to know him.
A true embodiment of hard work and dedication, Bob was the co-founder and vice president of Party Time Rentals Inc. in Charlotte. He played an integral role in the success of the three-generation family business, which flourished for 52 years under his guidance. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen were matched only by his passion for storytelling, which captivated his family and friends with impactful stories from his work and life experiences.
Bob attended Georgia Military Academy and served his country with distinction, carrying the values of discipline, duty, and honor. His time in the Army and later years instilled a deep sense of patriotism and respect for the world around him.
Bob was a man of adventure. His passion for travel took him overseas, to all 50 states in the US and all 100 counties in NC. He loved to explore new places, make new friends, and leave a mark on each destination. His stories of these travels continue to inspire his family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan, passionately cheering on the Carolina Panthers, UNC basketball, and NASCAR races, always enjoying the thrill of competition, the travel, and the camaraderie that came with it.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 East Morehead Street, Charlotte, NC.
