Robert "Bob" Roger Seidl (89) went to be with his Lord and Savior on (Feb 9th, 2025). He was born to Joseph and Mable Seidl on their farm in Oconto County Wisconsin, July 10, 1935. He grew up on this farm in northeast Wisconsin. He received a good education in a one room rural school and later graduated from Oconto High School in Oconto Wisconsin. Bob worked as a boat builder until he joined the Navy in 1956.

The Navy provided Bob an education in electronics and he obtained the rank of second class Petty Officer. He was assigned to the USS Maury AGS 16 a geographical survey ship that mapped the oceans and coastlines of much of the world. This ship took him to four continents, about 35 countries and islands, the arctic, and in 1959, entered into the Soviet controlled Black Sea. The USS Maury was the first US ship to do so since World War II. It was in the Soviet Ukraine that Bob decided to continue his education after leaving the Navy. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and was introduced by his cousin to Carol Faye Winans also from Oconto, Wis.

Bob graduated from MSOE in 1962, and Bob and Carol were married in Oconto, WI on June 30th, 1962. The same month Bob obtained a job with General Electric in Milwaukee in their nuclear research and development lab, along with a clearance from the atomic energy commission. His work took him on many trips to Florida, Texas, and Sandia labs in New Mexico.

In May of 1965 their first son Dan was born. Later that year GE announced they would be moving their Milwaukee lab to Florida. Instead of moving with the lab, Bob obtained a job with Hewlett Packard in Loveland, CO. and moved here in 1966 to raise their family where they could keep a cow and have a garden. Bob & Carol had two more children in Loveland, Ron born in 1967 and Christine in 71. Bob retired from HP as a technical supervisor in 1995 and enjoyed many years of camping and travel with Carol and family. A member of Gateway Baptist Church for 34 years, he loved his savior Jesus Christ.

Bob is survived by his wife Carol, sons Dan Seidl, and Ron Seidl both of Loveland. Daughter Christine Whitaker (Jason), of Loveland. Six Grandchildren, Katelyn Adelman (Jeff), Jennifer Biyinzika (Joel), Aspen, Charity, Autumn, and Benjamin Whitaker and one Great Grandchild Florence Adelman. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Doris Myers and brother Raymond Seidl.
