With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Winterbottom, a devoted father, loving grandfather, and cherished brother. Michael was the proud father of Ryan Winterbottom, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily Winterbottom, his treasured grandsons, Hunter and August, and his devoted son-in-law, Nick Jasieniecki. Michael also leaves behind his younger brother, Daniel Winterbottom, along with his nephews, Landon and Blake Winterbottom.

Michael was a graduate of Waterford Kettering High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army. Following his service, he dedicated 18 years of his career to Oakland County, where he built lasting friendships and a reputation for hard work and integrity.

A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Michael was an active member of the Back Road Riders of Lake County, FL and found true joy in spending his weekends on the open road, embracing the freedom and camaraderie that riding brought him. In January 2023, he retired to focus on what mattered most—being a grandfather. His grandsons, Hunter and August, were the absolute light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His absence leaves an unfillable space in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life and burial services will be announced at a later date. In honor of Michael’s love for his grandsons, a GoFundMe account has been established to support their future needs.

Michael will be forever missed but never forgotten.
