"A mother's love is the heart of a family." ~ Unknown

Carolyn Elizabeth Carter, age 85 of Church Hill, entered the glories of Heaven on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.  Carolyn was born on July 24, 1939, in Kingsport, TN to Bynum and Ruby Morelock.  Carolyn married her best friend, Billy Carter, on February 9, 1957, and together they raised a wonderful family.

Carolyn loved the Lord and reading her Bible and singing.  She was the rock of the family, and her family meant everything to her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Billy Carter; two brothers, Kenneth Morelock, and Willard Morelock; five grandchildren, Jessica Cradic, John Wagner, Josh Wallen, Jeremy Wallen, and Tori Carter; and one great grandson, Robert Carpenter.  Those left to cherish her memory are her six daughters, Donna Worley and husband, Paul, Rita Carter, Kathy Hunley, Sandra Carter, Patricia Graham and husband, Wesley, and Betty Carter; son, Billy Carter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers, Paul Morelock and wife, Barbara, and Bud Morelock; two sisters, Eunice Taylor, and Bobby Jean Spriggs and husband, Jack; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Valley View Church Cemetery.  Bobby Carter, Dusty Way, Tony Smith, Mikey Lane, Steven Carter, and Garrett Cradic will be serving as pallbearers.
