Terry Joe Williams, of Cochran, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at the age of 84. A visitation to honor Terry's life will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 12:30 PM at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM in the chapel. Terry will find his final resting place at the Macon Memorial Park Cemetery in Macon, Georgia, in a private ceremony immediately following the service.

Born on August 7, 1940, in Macon, Terry lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and a love for simple joys that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. He served his country proudly in the United States Army for several years before embarking on his second career as a dedicated groundskeeper at the Woodlands Golf Course, where his meticulous care transformed the greens he tended into pristine landscapes. Beyond his career, Terry was a passionate golfer, known for hitting the greens with enthusiasm, a twinkle in his eye, and a ready tale of the day's adventure. His love for motorcycles and fishing provided him with endless stories, which he shared warmly as a consummate storyteller. A dedicated member of the Countryside Baptist Church, Terry faithfully served as a deacon, sharing his generosity of spirit and considerate nature with his community.

He faced the sadness of saying farewell to his first wife, Sandra Corbin Williams, and second wife, Janie Dearmon Williams, as well as his parents, Burley L. Williams and Mattie L. Kettle Williams; brothers, Neil Williams and Scrapper Williams; and sisters, Helen Kidd and Shirley Judah. Yet he continued to rise, sharing his days and stories with his best friend and sister in law, Peggy Williams Suber and husband Mark Suber of Byron, and sister, Nancy Bazemore of Macon. He leaves behind a legacy of love with his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who will fondly remember his kind heart. Even in his final years, he found joy in the companionship of his devoted chihuahua, Bonnie.

Terry Joe Williams is remembered with deep affection and respect by those whose lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the fairways of heaven.
