Richard “Dick” Allen Price, 91, a devoted father, proud US Army veteran, and a man of unparalleled accomplishments, passed away on January 4, 2025. Born in Miami, Florida, he later became a longtime resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was an entrepreneur/business owner, politician, and Private Investigator for over 50 years, leaving an indelible legacy in his community.

Richard dedicated his life to public service, starting with his election as Constable for a two-year term. He went on to serve two terms in the Florida State House of Representatives for District 59, where he worked tirelessly for his constituents and community.

In addition to his public service, Richard was a highly decorated Private Investigator. He received numerous accolades, including the prestigious “Best of the Best” award from the Legal Brief Review. In 2003, he was featured in People magazine as Private Investigator of the Year, a testament to his exceptional skills and dedication. His work on many high-profile cases brought him national, international, and local recognition.

Specializing in finding missing children, Richard combined his passion for law enforcement with a deep commitment to justice. His expertise, vast experience, and relentless drive helped countless families find answers and hope.

Richard was larger than life, known for his determination, quick wit, and generous spirit. One of the things people always loved about him was his storytelling - he had an unmatched ability to captivate an audience and bring laughter to any conversation. Whether sharing tales from his remarkable career or simply spinning a good joke, he found joy in making people smile.

One of the greatest joys in his life was the thrill of fishing and especially the cherished moments  spent in Costa Rica, on the water, with “The Fishing Buddies.”

He is survived by his wife Twinkle Price, his children, Mrs. Deborah Price Williams and husband Carrol Williams, Mrs. Stephanye L. Conzett and husband Jim Conzett, Dr. Staci Price McCarthy and husband Lieutenant Colonel Stephen McCarthy (Air Force) and stepdaughter Mrs. Debbie Knoll and husband Jeff Knoll. Many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his sister, Kathy Osterloh, also survive him.

His son, Kenneth Price (he liked to call him Captain Kenny); his brother, Jack Price; and his mother, Virginia Osterloh, preceded Richard in death.

A military service (Bay Pines VA) provided by The American Legion, Post 273 Honor Guard will be held on March 7, 2025, at 3:00pm. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to your favorite military organization.

Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of strength, love, and service will live on in our hearts.
