Upon Bob’s retirement as a machinist with Chevron, they moved to Boise to be close to their eldest son Michael and lived in Spring Meadows near the Boise River. A few years after moving to Boise, their son Steve moved with his daughter Nicole to Boise. In their retirement years, Arbie and Bob took many road trips to visit family in Montana and California. They also went on bus trips organized by their church. In August of 2005 Bob Henry passed away. Arbie and Bob enjoyed 53 years of marriage.Over the years Arbie led a full life as a homemaker, mother, and raised beagles for show and breeding. She was very devoted to her faith in God and regularly attended church in Southern California and True Hope Church in Boise. She loved to do intricate cross stitch, knitting, and crocheting. After Bob passed away, she joined the St Luke’s Bear Group that makes stuffed bears for children hospitalized at St Luke’s. She was recognized for over 3,000 volunteer hours of making bears. She had beagles, labradors, and mixed breed dogs. She enjoyed taking them for walks along the Boise River. Her most recent dog, Bebe, was a lucky find at the Idaho Humane Society. She brought Bebe with her when she transitioned from her home to Brookdale Assisted Living. The residents enjoyed Bebe.
